The Amulets are quest items in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. They are used as transportation with the Portal God.

History

Amulets were created as a form of transportation with the use of Portal Gods. There were only a few utilized by Sphinx, and it is unknown how many others existed.

Description
Temple Amulet Hidden by Imhotep in the Outskirts of Castle of Uruk near the Portal God Chamber, this amulet is never actually seen, only the chest containing it.
Mysterious Amulet This Amulet is the first one physically acquired, and it takes Sphinx from the Outskirts of Castle of Uruk to the Mysterious Location.
Abydos Amulet This Amulet is the second one to be acquired. It transports Sphinx to Abydos. The symbol on this amulet is likely to be the Hieroglyph for "sea", or the hieroglyphic name of Abydos.
Heliopolis Amulet This Amulet is the third one to be acquired. It transports Sphinx to Heliopolis. Symbol is most likely the hieroglyph for Heliopolis
Old Amulet This Amulet is useless for travel, and eight of them were collected by Tutankhamen for Aunt Seti.
Anubis Amulet This Amulet is the fourth one to be acquired. It transports Sphinx to Anubis's Tower. Is most likely inscribed with Anubis' hieroglyphic name "Enpu"

The Temple Amulet is a quest item in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. It was hidden by Imhotep, and Sphinx never obtained it.

HistoryEdit

While in the Outskirts of Castle of Uruk, Sphinx was supposed to make his way to the Temple Amulet so he could return to the temple. However, he was unable to do so when the Eye of Ra from the Castle of Uruk struck the pathway he was walking on.

TriviaEdit

  • No matter what actions are taken, the amulet can never be obtained.

TriviaEdit

  • The Abydos Amulet is one of the many amulets in the game.
  • Some fans believe that this is one of the Old Amulets that the Mummy found.
    • However, this theory is disproven by the fact that Mummy still has the eight he collected earlier. As a result, Tut most likely discovered this amulet some time before the events of his birthday.

HistoryEdit

Sphinx received the Heliopolis Amulet while in Abydos. It allowed him to travel to Heliopolis from the Portal God instead of having to pay 25 scarabs to travel by boat.

The Old Amulet is a quest item in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.

HistoryEdit

Tutankhamen was asked by Aunt Seti to recover the Old Amulets from Luxor Palace, as she said that she was too old to go searching for them. After finding all eight, she told him to deliver them to the Treasure Room. It is theorized that it was part of the plot to kill Tutankhamen.

LocationsEdit

  1. Behind the bird statue in Tutankhamen's room.
  2. Inside the far right wardrobe in the dining hall/throne room.
  3. Behind the left bird statue near the throne in the dining hall/throne room.
  4. Behind the bird statue (near where the Sarcophagus Key was obtained).
  5. On the ledge on the right after using the Sarcophagus, facing the throne in the throne room.
  6. On the ledge on the left after using the Sarcophagus, following the path to find it in a chest facing the throne in the throne room.
  7. Inside the wardrobe in Tutankhamen's room.
  8. Use the Wardrobe Key after following a path.

TriviaEdit

  • They resemble the amulets used to travel with. It is unknown if these ever held any transport capabilities.
  • Tutankhamen carries them around for the rest of the game.
  • Some time before the game, Tut had found another one of these and given it to Nefertiti. This amulet turns out to be the Abydos Amulet.
