- The Hands of Amun were named after the Egyptian god, Amun, who is believed to be a form of Ra.
- The name "Amun" means hidden (in comparison, the Mummy's name, Tutankhamun means "Living Image of Amun)
- The first use of the hands were at Great Wall Entrance III, with their next being inside Heliopolis Temple.
