The Earth Key is a quest item in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.

History

Tutankhamen received the Earth Key in the Planetarium of Amusement. It was used to switch the catapult's direction of trajectory toward the exit and the Wings of Ibis. It could be swapped out with the other keys, such as the Solar Key and the Lunar Key. It featured a large, golden sphere with blue gems (the blue representing oceans and the gold representing the contents). The key featured several hoops surrounding the earth, symbolizing the old view of the solar system.

  • The Earth Key resembles the geocentric view (Earth at center) of the solar system.

History

The Exit Key is found in a treasure chest in the Planetarium of Amusement. It allowed Tutankhamen to leave the area. Shortly after using it, he collapses from exhaustion due to the Canopic Vase wearing off.

History

Sphinx utilized Glyph Keys throughout his quest. They could be found at places such as the Mysterious Location, Great Wall Entrance I, II, and III.

Trivia

  • Glyph keys are commonly used on statues as well as various "holders".
  • They were made of gold and resemble a fusion of a crook (as in "crook and flail") and a djed pillar.

History

Tutankhamen received the Lunar Key in the Planetarium of Amusement. It was used to switch the catapult's direction of trajectory. It could be swapped out with the other keys, such as the Solar Key and the Earth Key. It featured a golden crescent moon embedded with sapphires. The key led to a puzzle where the Electric Mummy ability is obtained and utilized in order to solve.

Sphinx found the Old Key at the bottom of the well in Abydos. It allowed him to exit the well area after obtaining one of the missing Abydosian Pearls.

History

Tutankhamen obtained the Sarcophagus Key in the Luxor Palace. It allowed him to utilize sarcophagi for transportation purposes in both Luxor Palace and the Castle of Uruk.

Trivia

  • The key also allows access into regular sarcophagi that do not transport.
  • Rameses cannot be used with the key.
  • It is unknown how they work.

History

Tutankhamen received the Solar Key in the Planetarium of Amusement. It was used to switch the catapult's direction of trajectory. It could be swapped out with the other keys, such as the Earth Key and the Lunar Key. It featured a red gem surrounded by a gold sunburst (representing the sun). It lead to the Fire Mummy puzzle.

History

Sphinx received the stairs key from the fat Abydosian man after gathering the Abydosian pearls for him. It was used on the stairs that led to the second level of Abydos. Later on, its use was replaced by the zip line handle.

  • Use of the key became obsolete after the zip line handle was received from the monster inspector.
