The poor bird is a neutral character in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.

Biography Edit

The poor bird is a citizen of Abydos who spent his days laying around on pillows near the Grand Canal. Sphinx would often donate scarabs to the bird, and, after 30 scarabs had been donated, he gave Sphinx a Gold Ankh Piece. Later on, he moved to the Bedouin Outpost. When Sphinx gave him a parasol, he gave him the large scarab bag.

Traits and Appearance Edit

The poor bird was, as his name describes, a bird with paint and long feathery blond hair. Although there was plenty of work in Abydos, it was apparent that the poor bird was a bum.

Trivia Edit

  • The poor bird, if given 2 scarabs, becomes angry at Sphinx.
  • If no scarabs are donated when he talks, he becomes angry.
  • Although poor, he says he likes to travel a lot. He often went to Heliopolis to "chill out".
  • It is unknown why he possessed the large scarab bag if he was so poor.
    • Or how he manages to afford the fairly expensive trip between Abydos and Heliopolis (as well as the slight charge to go from the Cursed Palace to the Outpost).
      • Repeatedly, judging from how he can be encountered in both places even if Sphinx sails to Abydos directly from the Outpost.
