Description Edit

Journal Description Edit

Watch out for these undead axe-wielding warriors…They can use their weapon as a boomerang, and can even call upon a protective shield which encases them until their axe returns. - Book of Sphinx

Museum Description Edit

Rumored to be former warriors of an ancient dark Egyptian army. Members of the undead, their origin is unknown. Now rarely seen in groups larger than three, in the past they formed whole battalions. - Abydos Museum

Traits, Appearance, and Abilities Edit

The Skeletal Axeman is a blue-tinted skeletal monster that wielded an axe. It throws its axe like a boomerang creating a protective shield while doing so. It also slams down its axe as if it was chopping wood.

Skeletalaxeman Slam

Strategy Edit

In order to actually kill or capture a Skeletal Axeman, you can only damage the monster when it is not throwing its axe. The axe can be deflected using the Shield of Osiris. In the Mysterious Location, skeletons lying on the ground (not in cages) will later come to life.

Trivia Edit

  • In the Lost Temple of Heliopolis, there is a tall room filled with four Skeletal Axeman from whom you must collect the Skull, Arm, Pelvis, and Leg.
  • In the game booklet, a picture of the Skeletal Axeman is incorrectly labeled as a Skull Worshipper, and has the definition of a Skull Swordsman.
  • When throwing its axe, the monster has a shield around its body that makes it completely immune to damage. It looks similar to the Blood of Ra, except white.
  • Skeletal Axeman without their weapons can be seen in cages, including a giant one in the Heliopolis Temple which summons four of the monsters.
